Lawrence Moten was the classic swingman player, able to play shooting guard and small forward. From the moment he first stepped on the court as a freshman, Moten displayed tremendous court awareness. He was not the most athletic player on the court, but he always seemed to be in the right position, make the right pass, and make the crucial shots.

He is the only player to score or more points in four consecutive seasons in Syracuse history and was the first player since Hall of Famer Dave Bing to lead Syracuse in scoring for three straight seasons. He played for the Grizzlies for two seasons from — and for the Washington Wizards during the season. He is the current coach of the Rochester Razor Sharks.
